I ask everyone to read through and follow the rules to keep the game fair and fun for everyone. In World of Fear, we follow a three-strike policy, which means that repeatedly breaking the rules will result in the player being banned from the forums.

1. All players must be +18. If any player is discovered to be under the age of 18, an instant and permanent ban will be put in place.

 

2. Be kind to other players. Bullying other players for any reason is not allowed under any circumstances.

2.2. Avoid offensive and sexual language, harassment, and any form of disruptive behavior when OOC. Characters who act brazenly are allowed, but please make sure the other player is comfortable with such themes being involved.

 

3. Stay In-Character (IC) and Out-Of-Character (OOC): Differentiate between in-game roleplay and out-of-character discussions. When talking OOC during a game on the forums, be sure to make it clear to the other player when switching between the two.

 

4. No Godmodding: Avoid controlling other players' characters without their consent or making your character too powerful and invincible. The playable characters in this game are all humans and have human restrictions and vulnerabilities.

 

5. Follow the Setting and Lore: Stay consistent with the established world and lore of the RPG to maintain a cohesive narrative.

 

6. Posting Etiquette: Respect the posting order in group threads, and avoid double-posting or interrupting others' turns.

 

7. No Metagaming: Don't use out-of-game knowledge to influence in-game decisions or actions.

 

8. Character Death: only the player can decide to kill off their characters during normal gameplay between players, however during site-hosted events deaths might occur. Please be realistic about how much damage your character can take during gameplay to avoid Godmodding.

 

9. Communication: please be sure to discuss dark themes you wish to RP with the other players beforehand. It's not fun to start a casual game only for your character to be relentlessly bullied or worse.

 

10. Entering the forum: you can register to the forum to take a look before joining, but please post your character for approval within two weeks of doing so.

 

11. Using AI-generated images is forbidden. When using pictures, please use dollmakers, free-to-use pieces, or photographs. Using other people's original characters and artwork is also forbidden.
