➢ The Beginning

The Beginning is an epoch-shaping event that took place six years ago in 203X. The characteristic of this catastrophic event that foretold the appearance of the Fears was a blinding light that engulfed the entire globe in a momentary luminance. For a short amount of time, it was thought that the light was the result of something happening on the surface of the sun, or an exploding star in space. It however became apparent soon enough that the blind which had covered the earth was not the result of exterestial events and was instead a warning of something far worse to come. 

Approximately 24 hours later, when the next night fell, the world was plunged into chaos as humanity was left grappling with an unimaginable reality: every individual's deepest and darkest fears, phobias, and insecurities became personified as creatures of all shapes and sizes manifested before them. As the sun set on that fateful day, a chilling realization took hold these nightmarish incarnations of dread were not mere phantasms but relentless hunters, seeking to confront and eradicate their other halves, the humans they were born from. 

Despite the passage of time, the genesis of the Beginning remains as an enigma, a mystery no one has yet discovered an answer to. How and why people's fears took corporeal form to hunt them down, remains an impenetrable mystery to this day. As the dust settled, humanity had no choice but to face their new reality head-on, forever altered by the horrors that emerged from their very souls. 

The event known as the Beginning has been since described and theorized as being the end of the world as we know it, while others have become convinced it was the rapture that blunged humanity from being at the top of the food pyramid. 

Regardless of its origin or purpose, the Beginning thrust humanity into an era where survival is a perpetual dance with one's inner fears made flesh, and the search for answers is seemingly as impossible as the event itself. In a world where humanity is forced to flee indoors at the moment of sunset, some people have begun to adjust to the new reality while others fight against it with every fiber of their beings.
